Chapter 1 - Introduction

Recently, China has released a special film, I Am Not A Drug God, it is about the problems caused by the high price drugs in China, and the protagonist selling pirated drugs to help the patients, which has caused a lot of repercussions in China, and has aroused the society's attention to the sky-high drugs, and our group has inspired the matter.Decided to study the problem of high-priced drugs in the United States.

Chapter 2 – Social Phenomena

We did a street survey, according to the data it shows that a percentage of people are aware of the problem of sky-high priced drugs globally and in the United States as well. Many people also said that they could not afford the high prices of drugs - especially immigrants.

Chapter 3 – Solution

The solution: for this phenomenon, we hope to have some practical solutions, but we found that the existing methods are basically not effective, so we came up with our own solution.

  3.1 The first step: micro-film

Referring to the great influence of "I am not a drug God" in China. We have read the relevant information and found in the United States that there are original drugs and generic drugs, as well as the package to the generics, such as India, the production of pharmaceutical products, these three to be in a significant decline in prices, and there must be a reason for it.

We refer to the British TV series "Black Mirror" to make "medicine" as the name of the serial micro-film, three stories unfold, the protagonist of the story is Medicina.

The first story: Medicina, a government official, has been forced to come to major pharmaceutical companies to negotiate lower prices with the drug developer. However, despite repeated complaints about sky-high priced drugs, there was no success.

The story will be based on this as the basis, by showing the dilemma of government officials, the voice of the people, drug companies, people can be aware of the frustration that the United States Government faces on this issue. Therefore, we can only solve this problems ourselves.

Second story: Medicina is a patient with pompe disease. The doctor had been giving him a generic drug from another pharmaceutical company.Once, the generic drug produced by the original pharmaceutical company was in stock, she replaced the patient's drug with a generic drug.

But the patient had to lie to the doctor because of the price: "I think the first pill worked better".

The story will be based on this as the basis, by showing the severity of the patient's symptoms and family difficulties, while not getting enough attention and help from the community to arouse people's attention and sympathy for this phenomenon.

The third story: Medicina is a worker at an Indian imitation pharmaceutical company whose child suffers from late-stage neuron wax-like brown deposition (CLN2).A pharmaceutical factory he works in imitates the drug, but a generic pharmaceutical clinical data fraud, a drug found in the hair,After the staff did not wash their hands after the toilet and so on, he can not rest assured that the use of low-cost drugs factory, can only work around the clock, to buy a product imported generic drugs.

The story will be a basic, through the protagonist's point of view, it will lets us see the outsourcing of generics, the factory's unsanitariness, and the insecurity, and through the protagonist's hard work. The child's body and deteriorating condition presented a double dilemma which encouraged people to solve the high price of medicine.

Through the film, the public is informed of the problem to sky-high priced drugs show in the. This creates forms of public opinion pressure and influences pharmaceutical factory pricing which could achieve the purpose of price reduction.

3.2 Step two: Public Interest website

The public service website will include two functions of online community, charity and drug collection. The final scene of the micro-film series will promote our site to maximize the effectiveness of its use.

The online community will be a gathering place for patients and doctors plagued by sky-high priced drugs, bringing patients together as a group through anonymity, and advising them to meet online to face the problem.

Doctors will give medical assistance online on a real-name basis, restoring doctors ' credibility in the crowd.

Since most of the high-priced drugs are long-term, difficulty to send the disease of the drug, so after a large number of patients recovered after a lot of the remaining high cost of drugs, after the data, we found that the shelf life of these drugs is generally around a year, so we can collect these drugs,If necessary, make a low price repurchase, and finally according to the needs of the online community in the real-name distribution.

At the same time, we hope to find sponsorship or cooperation with pharmaceutical companies and hospitals through this website to gain greater strength and resources on the basis of 0 cost public goods.

3.3 Step three: Invest in a pharmaceutical factory

We will start from a very small scale, very low universal medicine, because the drug specifications are roughly the same. We will be priced competitively to ensure that our drugs are a priority choice among consumers. As a low cost drug, we can reach a customer base with an adequate income to ensure continuous fund-raising and continue expanding the scale.

Under the right income situation, we will undertake product transformation on the basis of low-cost and universal medicine to allocate part of the proceeds to drug research and development as an investment in the production of higher prices of drugs, which will eventually move to a larger scale, and have the ability to independently develop high-priced drugs.

We found that the average profit of each type of high-priced medicine is about seven times the cost of research and development every four years, and our pharmaceutical company will always take advantage of the profit margin by setting the price at half or even one-fourth of the general drug price. This would actually eliminate the problem of sky-high drugs.

Chapter 4 – How to make this work sustainable

  1. Stable Network platform.

  2. A steady source of funding for drug sales to maintain the development of new drugs.Companies interested in the project can invest more and receive more money to develop new drugs.

  3. Can be recognized by the public to improve sales.Companies interested in the project can be found to invest and receive more money to develop new drugs.

  4. Let enterprises utilize transparency as a tool for marketing. By exhibiting the annual earning of a pharmaceutical factory people will have access to transparency so that the public can trust the enterprise and give more support and thus allow enterprises to development even more.

  5. Resource Sharing, you can combine other organizations, open up your own technology and marketing model, and use this non-profit organization with more resources.

  6. To work with the government to gain the support of the state and get more resources.

  7. Create keyword search via internet mlm.

Chapter 5 – Why Our Method Is Feasible

I believe that there are many people in the United States who are willing to do the same things like us, so we have a good network of resources, such as professors, students and other High-tech talent, and some of them who are willing to join us. They Can provide technical support for the development of new drugs.

Our website would have a Contributions Programs, and pharmaceutical factories at affordable drugs and the profit of the price of drugs to maintain the development of the Organization. There is more stable financial support to maintain the survival of the Organization, and to develop new drugs to provide financial support.

Publicity, we spread through the Internet, with some network companies, network stars to cooperate to join a certain advertising, in a short period of time, so that many people know, to achieve the purpose of publicity.

Chapter 6 – Looking to the Future

6.1 Let more people join us.

According to the data we have gathered, the people who are willing to provide financial support are offered a percentage of the vote and are willing to join us in providing us with assistance in action.People who offer financial help rather than join our team are far more likely to be the ones who offer both money and willingness to join us.This is not only to show that people's attention to sky-high drugs still need to improve. Perhaps some people do not trust that the organization can do things without joining us, but more because of human laziness. In this respect, we will increase their publicity efforts, the organization has done some things to tell the public, so that organizations transparent, so that the public can increase their trust in our organization, through leaflets, community propaganda, paper media, television, new media and other channels of publicity.Change the mentality of the public and the idea of the high price of drugs, we can give school children a course of high-priced drugs, so that our next generation can also pay attention to and let high prices drug problems be known among the people.

6.2 Let the pharmaceutical factory price their drugs at sky-high prices

The average cost of drugs is not high, and the price is mainly due to his research costs and intellectual property. In this way, we can find the scientists who study drugs to reduce their royalty charge of intellectual property, yet still ensuring that they are recognized for their contribution and to discourage counterfeit drugs, so that the rights of scientists are also fully guaranteed.
